Why is it not allowing me to join a tournament?
If you're unable to join a tournament on Checkmate Live, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
Eligibility Criteria Not Met:
ELO Rating: Some tournaments have specific ELO rating requirements. If your rating doesn't fall within the specified range, you won't be able to register.
Regional Restrictions: Certain tournaments are limited to players from specific regions. Ensure that your account's region matches the tournament's requirements.
Registration Period Closed:
Tournaments have designated registration periods. If the registration has closed, you won't be able to join. Keep an eye on upcoming tournaments and register within the specified timeframe.
Division Qualifiers:
Each division offers multiple qualifiers. If you've missed one, don't worry—additional qualifiers are scheduled. Check the tournament schedule and join the next available qualifier.

Rule Set
In the "Road to Al Ain" tournament, participants have the flexibility to join qualifiers that match or exceed their current rating. This means you can compete in any qualifier corresponding to your FIDE rating or, if you don't have a FIDE rating, your Checkmate Live rating. This approach allows players to challenge themselves and potentially advance through higher-level competitions.
